Marrickville Marauders is dedicated to providing access to fencing for our local community. We recognise that our sport is relatively equipment heavy, so we offer a hire service to full members so that fencers can affordably get a feel for the sport before committing to buying their own gear. Our hire service includes masks, jackets and breastplates and is priced only to maintain the equipment.

Fencers are required to provide their own personal gloves, body wires and mask wires for hygiene reasons. All other electric fencing equipment (sabres, electric jackets and scoring equipment) is available for general borrowing by all members during training and for competitions.

Hire Options

Once you've purchased an option, talk to one of our coaches at our regular sessions. We'll get you set up with our Loan Agreement and arrange your gear for you to take home.  

All our equipment is hired on a monthly subscription basis. You can terminate your hire or change to another option at any time by  returning your equipment.

How am I charged for my equipment hire? 

Equipment hire works on a subscription basis (like a mobile phone plan) and you'll be automatically charged on your card every month. 

Where can I find a copy of my equipment hire agreement?

An electronic copy of your completed agreement will be sent to you shortly following the start of your gear hire. An updated copy will be sent to you again when you end your hire. 

How do I cancel my equipment hire or return my gear?

Simply bring your gear back to us at any time and we'll process its return. We'll then end your subscription and you won't be charged from the next month period.
